Edinburgh is a fantastic city with unique character and lively nightlife, but the city comes alive each year during the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Artists and performers take to hundreds of stages across the city to present shows for every taste, including theatre, comedy, dance, cabaret and much more. The streets are filled with street performers, and the celebrations last throughout the night. If you’ve never experienced the festival, this trip is for you.

Our trips are hand-selected for those who wish to travel independently, with the added support of a friendly group of likeminded people and a dedicated Tour Leader.

What's included?

Immerse yourself in everything this historic city has to offer

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, famed as the ‘World’s Largest Arts Festival’, is impossible, to sum up in words. It is an experience like no other, with world-famous dance, musicals, magic and comedy performances blending with exhibitions, street shows, food markets and so much more. No matter what kind of culture you’re into, the Edinburgh Fringe will have something that will impress.

The city of Edinburgh makes for a great backdrop to this cultural event. With its cobbled streets, breath-taking skyline, and hidden nooks, Edinburgh is full to the brim with culture and history. The blend of old and new, from architecture to entertainment, makes it a truly vibrant city worth exploring and experiencing.

Travelling with Solo Breaks takes the stress out of planning your trip. We’ve sorted city-centre accommodation at Sugarhouse Close that gives you a great base to explore and enjoy. Our Tour Guide can be as active as you need him to be – we’re here to help when you need assistance with tickets or a point in the right direction, but if you want to discover the Fringe by yourself or with fellow Solo Breaks adventurers we can point you in the right direction.

A good night’s kip is really important when you’re travelling, and so is the location. We choose the accommodation to suit the trip, making sure you have a clean, comfortable and well-located place to stay.
Most of our travellers sign-up solo and so we’re all in the same boat … or plane for that matter. Our traveller groups are small, informal and welcoming. While we’re not a singles travel company, 90% of our groups are made up of solo travellers. You’ll have the opportunity to meet your team before we set-off – we run an ice-breaker on Zoom and you’ll also be invited into a WhatsApp group so you can get to know the group before we go.
We like to keep our group-size small so travellers can get to know each other on the trip. Usually, there are around 5-10 travellers on each trip between the ages of 30-50.
Yes, you can. Around 10% of our group are made up of couples or friends who enjoy socialising and meeting new people.
Of course! Everything we plan on the itinerary is optional. If you fancy coming along to everything, you’re more than welcome. If you want to dip out any point to relax or do your own thing, that’s completely fine too.

It’s important for all travellers to arrange their own travel insurance before we set-off. If you need help with travel insurance, give Steve a call and he will advise.

To secure your place on the trip, we’ll ask for a deposit, which can be made by bank transfer. The final payment for the trip will be due two-weeks before we leave. You’ll find more payment information on each event page.
Payment for your trip can be made online on this website, by bank transfer or you can make payment over the phone by calling Steve Sutherland on: 07845 529 538.

Cancellation requests are only accepted by email. For further information on our cancellation policy, read our full terms and conditions.

Contact Steve (info@solobreaks.co.uk or 07845 529 538) any time and he’ll answer your questions.
