Join Solo Breaks for our annual Edinburgh Fringe adventure!
Every August, Edinburgh comes alive with an incredible mix of comedy, theatre, music, cabaret, street performances and everything in between. In 2027, the Fringe celebrates its 80th anniversary, running from 6–30 August, making next year’s festival an especially exciting time to visit.
Our annual Solo Breaks trip is a relaxed and sociable way to experience the Fringe with a friendly group of like-minded travellers. Enjoy the atmosphere, discover some fantastic shows, explore the city, enjoy great food and drinks, and make new friends along the way – with your Solo Breaks host taking care of the planning so you can simply enjoy the experience.
It’s the perfect combination of independence, adventure and great company.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the single biggest celebration of arts and culture on the planet. Join us on the 27th – 30st August 2027! Our trips are hand-selected for those who wish to travel independently, with the added support of a friendly group of like-minded people and a dedicated Tour Leader.

What makes our Edinburgh Fringe trip so special is the people you share it with.
There’s something lovely about arriving in the city with a group of strangers and, over a few days of laughter, great shows, shared meals and spontaneous adventures, heading home having made some new friends.

Travelling early on Friday 27th of August and returning on Monday 30th August 2027, we will be spending 4 full days and 3 nights in the heart of Edinburgh.
Steve your Solo Breaks host and founder, has hosted our Fringe Weekends every year since 2007. Take advantage of his incredible knowledge and expertise to guide you to the best shows and locations in this vibrant city.

In the heart of the city centre close to all the action, you will enjoy your own en-suite room with wi-fi all food with breakfasts too make this a stress free weekend enjoying all that Edinburgh has to offer.
Given you will want to meet new people and enjoy the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we will make sure socialising is high on the agenda.
Steve our host will choose restaurants and bars that offer finest Scottish Fayre and will give that true flavour of the city and people. Expect to learn all about Scottish Whisky, and even try a wee dram. Tuck into Haggis with neeps and tatties.

Before you travel, there will be an opportunity to get to know fellow Solo Breaks travellers on a Zoom call. We’ll also invite you to a group WhatsApp where we can discuss car share and transport arrangements.

Steve is a fun and lively people-pleaser. He enjoys getting to know all of his guests, and ensuring they get to do the activities that they enjoy.
Steve knows this area like the back of his hand, so his expertise will ensure you see the best this region has to offer in the time that you’re there.
